 Stephanie Porowski, Au.D.

Dr. Stephanie Porowski Melchionda is a licensed Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in the State of New York.  Her professional goal is to provide hearing care and tinnitus solutions for all, through technology intervention, counseling and aural rehabilitation.  Her personal goal is to bring greater awareness and acceptance to hearing loss in society.

Originally from Ohio, Stephanie attended Ohio University in Athens for undergrad.  She obtained her Bachelors of Science Degree in Hearing Speech and Language Sciences in 2005.  She continued her education, completing her clinical fellowship at the Dayton VA Medical Center and Wright Patterson Air Force Base and graduating with her Doctorate in Audiology in 2009 from the University of Cincinnati.  Upon graduation Stephanie relocated to Eastern North Carolina to pursue her audiology career.  Working as an audiologist at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina.  At Vidant, Stephanie worked with pediatrics as well as adults specializing in diagnostic audiology, hearing aids, cochlear implants, counseling and aural rehabilitation.  Fueled by her passion for art and culture, Stephanie decided to move to Manhattan in 2011.  Once in Manhattan she continued work in clinical audiology at a private practice on Madison Avenue until 2013.  For the last 5 years Stephanie has been working as a Field Technology Specialist and Sales Representative for Starkey Hearing Technologies in the greater NY and NJ area.

Stephanie recently married her best friend, Bryan Melchionda.  With their wedding she was officially blessed with two step daughters; Mary, 11 years old and Maggie, 9 years old.  Not in attendance of the wedding, but equally important in their lives, is their lovable 70 lb pup, Smokie.
